NATURE & SLOW TOURISM

Guardians of clean air to be savoured slowly

Discover the charm of the Alpe della Luna through the eyes of those who embrace slow tourism and a deep connection with nature. In this section, we invite you to explore panoramic trails, immerse yourself in breathtaking landscapes and uncover the hidden beauties of this territory, where time seems to slow down and the connection with nature becomes a priority.

Every step is a journey towards a greater harmony between human activity and the environment

We are building a territory where nature is at the heart of the tourist experience, where respect for the environment is combined with the discovery of ancient traditions and the pleasure of exploring breathtaking landscapes. Whether it is a walk along a mountain trail or a cycling trip along the river, we invite everyone to embrace the spirit of slow tourism and to discover the beauty of our places at a calmer, more mindful pace.

The journey towards sustainability begins here

Exploring nature slowly and mindfully is at the core of our commitment to making our territory a welcoming and sustainable place for both residents and visitors. Through a series of targeted interventions, we are shaping a tourist experience that celebrates the beauty of our natural landscapes and promotes an active, environmentally respectful way of life.

Starting from the cultural heart of Badia Tedalda, we are enhancing our museums and visitor information points, making access to the culture and history of the territory more engaging and accessible than ever. Interactive museums and cutting-edge digital services will offer visitors a fully immersive experience of our region’s cultural heritage.

For those who embrace sustainability and soft mobility, we are developing infrastructure to encourage the use of electric bicycles. The programme of walks and trekking routes, together with the ecopoints in Badia Tedalda and Pieve Santo Stefano, will form the backbone of a network of cycling paths and trails nestled within the nature of the Alpe della Luna Reserve, offering cycling and trekking enthusiasts a unique and unforgettable experience.

But we do not stop there. Our commitment to a sustainable outdoor lifestyle extends along the course of the River Tiber, where we are creating a new scenic trail to be enjoyed on foot and by bicycle. And for families and younger visitors, the restoration of the Raggiolo cycling and walking path from the centre of Badia Tedalda to the school and sports facilities area makes the route safe and accessible for independent use.
